A new BattleBots fighting robot from the builder of the double UK Champ 'Chaos 2'.

As you can see, it isn't very photogenic yet. This is the 'inner
chassis', the outer bodywork will be spaced
off from the chassis, so damaging blows to the body will have less chance of
bending vital mechanics.
Weaponry will be a High Powered Pneumatic Flipper on the front
(that's the red bottle end),
and a electrically powered Vertical Spinning Disk on the Back.
I've got some radical new ideas I'm going to try for powering
both weapons, so this robot could
finish up being anywhwere from 'totally awesome' to 'a complete failure'!

The motors are Bosch 12V 400W. The drive train is a 2-stage chain drive, and I've forgotten what the gear-ratio is already! (another pic here) |
