New Valves.

Since the new rams are bigger, we now have to change to larger bore valves and pipework.
What I've done is use one valve per ram, rather than just one for both rams, thus doubling
the gas flow. This means I can now run on gas, rather than liquid, so I get more flips!

Valves.

A nice new valve assembly,
lots of work, looks pretty, shame it wouldn't
fit it the robot!

Mind you, where there's a will, there's a way!

With a lot of re-arranging, it all went in.

The new look insides, with the CO2 bottle the other way round, which meant that the right hand relays had to be moved. They are now in the middle, just under the flipper (the only available space left!)

And before anyone asks, yes, that is a bigger CO2 bottle!

Here's an indication of the increased power . . . parts of the flipper have started bending that have never bent before!

Looks like I've got some more strengthening work to do!

The trouble with bigger rams is that you've got more gas to get rid of, so I had to change the valve-gear yet again to double up the exhaust valves as well as the inlet valves. While I was at it, I did away with 2Kg of hydraulic fittings which helped to resolve the C of G problems (see battery section).
