UK Robot Wars - Series 4
Yes! . . . We did it again!
Due to lack of spare time, we entered Chaos 2 in the 'Forth War' without
changing anything
on it, other than the obligatory new set of covers (we get through covers
quite regularly,
and consider them to be 'consumable items').
Our Fights in Series 4:
This year the format changed, the first round is now a three way Melee. We
were up against
Atomic and Indefatigable. After bouncing Atomic about a bit, we put Indefatigable
over the
fence!. Our second round fight was against Medusa 2000, and we beat Atomic
in the third
round for a place in the Series Semi-Final. In the semi, we faced Steg 2 (with
a flipper on
a par with ours) and Tornado (probably the most powerful drive system going).
We dispatched both for our place in the Grand Final, which was a much more
nerve-racking
experience, as both fights went to judges decisions. Stinger gave us a real
run for our money,
and then we discovered the power of Pussycat's blade. That 'cat' is a real
tiger!

A terrific piece of engineering. Note the Soda-Stream cannisters (one each side) which power the front flipper. |
Thanks to Gareth Davies
for the screen shots.
